Master Your Workday Now by Michael Linenberger

Master Your Workday Now!: Proven Strategies to Control Chaos, Create Outcomes, & Connect Your Work to Who You Really Are is a really good book.  I rate it five stars.  Check out Steve Pavlina’s review on Amazon; he gives it a huge thumbs up.  Pavlina spends most of his review describing Part I of the book, but Parts II and III are also really well done.  Amazon is currently offering a 48% discount.

I use a short version of his to-do method and I think it is extremely effective.  It’s described in the video below.

I like his idea, because he’s right. Most people just write a to do list without prioritizing it. By using his checklist, I am sure that more people get their urgent priorities done. I think the challenge most people will have here is deciding which projects are urgent and which can be put in the “opportunity now” section. Another challenge is to make sure you don’t put too many of your projects in the “critical now” section, because if everything goes in the “critical now” section, it turns back into a regular to-do list, doesn’t it? I might have to check this book out sometime. Thanks!
