Some great quotes here Stephen.
I know you didn’t ask, but I’m going to anyway .. my all time favourite is a Gandhi quote. He was asked by a journalist:
Journalist “What do you think of Western Civilisation?”
Gandhi “I think it would be a good idea.”

This is my favorite one.
“The question is not, Is there life after death? The question is, Is there life before death?” — Alan Cohen
This is very deep and cleverly spoken.
Hi Gordie, Alan Cohen writes with such wisdom, I sometimes feel like I can just grab every sentence and turn it into a stand alone quote.
I agree with Gordie – that quote struck me immediately ….
Excellent work here, Stephen – I will definitely tweet this out. I come across many of these types of lists, but this one has so many I hadn’t heard before. Thanks for the excellent content.
Best to you,
Scott

Hi Self Improvement Guy, I really like that one too which is why I put it at the top. I’m glad you like the list! Thanks
Wow! What a wild mix. I laughed and aaah-ed over them and related to many here. BTW. Hi dear Stephen. LOL!!!
The quote that really gripped me (aside from women changing men
LOL!) was this one: ““When you invest your time and energy in stuff that drags you down, you die a little bit every day.” – Alan Cohen” That is a powerful message. It invites us to look at what in our lives feels like it’s dragging us down. Then to consider why we are doing it, but more importantly do we NEED to do it. In most cases we don’t, maybe in all.
I too LOVE this one: ““The question is not, Is there life after death? The question is, Is there life before death?” — Alan Cohen” And I can honestly say that I know WITHOUT doubt that there IS life before death. I make dang sure of that every single day. Thank you for sharing these, Stephen. It was a fun post and read.
Hugs, Robin
Hi Robin, I tried to mix it up a little. I thought the women would appreciate the man changing quote
Awesome quotes Stephen, I never heard some of them before so you enriched my quotes collection. Thank you! Going to write some of them down right now.

I love quotes too Stephen and you managed to find some really great, light-hearted ones that I haven’t heard before. I have to mention one that gave me a big laugh and prompted me to say Amen, “The only time a woman succeeds in changing a man is when he’s a baby.” — Natalie Wood
Now that’s a quote for ya! Thanks so much for adding a much-needed ray of sunshine at the end of my busy day.

Yes Stephen, I do love quotes and you chose some good ones. They can say so much in so few words. One of my favorites is by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life, that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”
