This is a fantastic post. It's so true, that the way we look at ourselves, and what we believe about ourselves is what determines our feelings about our lives. Are we going to see ourselves as winners, or are we going to see ourselves as losers? Believe you can, believe you can't, the choice is up to you, to us!

Thank you for this post. It echoes something I'm working on right now. It's wonderfully powerful to really take to heart that you do have the ability to reframe how you look at situations and choose to use it as an opportunity, not a defeat.

Lives if always going to give us challenges, we can decide we are going to overcome them and gain more wisdom or we can let is beat us down.
I vote for the first one.
Thank you, for a great post. Stumbled.

@dlj_jane, Thanks for the comment. You are absolutely correct. It is NOT what happens to you. It's your response.

@Roger, that's interesting about returning to their previous level of happiness. I've never heard that

@Rosa, Thanks for visiting us!

Nice post!

People are amazingly resilient. When people suddenly become paraplegics, studies show that within 6 months they return to their same level of happiness they had before they became paraplegics.

I try to see every challenge as an opportunity to learn.
