Sherri at Serene Journey tagged me. What this means is that I have to tell you seven things about myself. Here are the rules:
- Link to your original tagger and list these rules in your post
- Share 7 facts about yourself in the post
- Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs
- Let them know they’ve been tagged.
So here are seven things about me you probably could care less about: –)
- I’ve been married since I was 19 years old to my wonderful wife Joyce. This year we will celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary.
- I was born and raised in Kansas, I spent much of my adult life in Oklahoma, and I’ve lived in Houston Texas for the last eight years.
- I love all animals, but I am especially fond of wild birds.
- We have two little black female poodles – Jasmine and Jade. We share joint custody of our daughter’s two Bengal cats – Hercules and Calypso. (We steal them often because we love them so much.)
- I wish Al Gore would have invented the Internet in the 1970’s instead of the 1990’s.
- I’ve been blogging since January.
- I killed too many brain cells in my youth.
I hope none of these people have been tagged before:

Hi Stephen, great list! Congratulations on 29 years of marriage that’s wonderful! I’m an animal lover as well. We have two golden labs at home and they are so much fun!
It’s rare for marriages that happen so young to last so long. Congratulations!
I like #5. What took so long to get this internet thing going anyway?
Stephen, I’m honored that you’ve tagged me and I see that we share the killing of brain cells in the sixties. But I just don’t do tags buddy. I’m up to my eyeballs in projects and prefer to write about what I choose to write about. Wish you well.
Well Stephen, I hadn’t herd of this until before, but it looks fun. I would tell you about our similarities from your list, but now that I’ve been tagged I guess I will save them for my own list.
Hi Stephen
Congratulations on 29 years of marriage, I got my 15 years coming up myself.
I too am an animal lover and I have 2 black pugs.
Thanks for sharing, it is fun to get to know you better.

Wow…what a wonderful site and what great information you have shared. I know you are OK…been married for more than ten years…you have poodles…I have a toy poodle named Dante (I did not name him…he came to visit for what was to be six weeks and that was two years ago)…and you’ve lived in Oklahoma where my best girl friend lives.
Hi Stephen! I did get tagged for this a little while back, you can read my answers here:

I am so flattered you tagged me!
Stephen!
Amazing – blogging since January and you have managed to build up quite a community here.
Great job!
@Sherri, Thanks for tagging me. This was interesting! I’m so glad you love dogs too.
@Roger, thanks for stopping by and offering your thoughts. I don’t know what took Al Gore so long!
@Tom, thanks for stopping by. No problem!
@Alik, thank you for the encouragement.
@Jonathan, I can’t wait to read yours.
@Giovanna, Thanks for stopping by again. I hope you and your dogs have a great weekend.
@Tracy, thanks for stopping by. Sorry I retagged you. You certainly shouldn’t feel like you have to do it again. Thanks!
It was a great compliment to be tagged!
I can’t believe you’ve only been blogging since January! And congratulations on your upcoming 29th anniversary.
Can I admit here that I am scared of birds?
@Belinda, Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the kind comments.
@Tracy, Yes you can admit it. Now WHY? I love them because they are so smart and beautiful.
Thank you. I always appreciate the link love. You don’t look like you are 48. Also congrats on 29 years. It’s an accomplishment. I’m only in year 2.
I’m going to stew on this for a little while. Too be honest I’m barely keeping my head above water now. I’ll try to get to this, but I can’t promise.
Hi Stephen,
Loved reading the 7 Things About You list! I didn’t expect the Toy Poodles and your love of cats.
I’m an animal lover myself through and through. My husband Ray and I found an amazing three acre creek lot in the middle of North Dallas where he built our home. There’s city all around, but we’re in our private oasis! I have three bird feeders al filled with different types of seeds, suet feeders and two bird baths. Last year I spotted a Yellow Crested Night Heron. Delightful to discover a bird you’ve never seen or heard of before.
Thanks for sharing yourself with us. Your blog is awesome!

That’s it? No deep dark secrets we can use to blackmail you with? Heh!

Thanks for tagging me, now I have to do mine. Eeek!
Yeah I agree with Karl – you dont look your age. Must be the blueberries, huh?
And Congratulations on your upcoming Wedding Anniversary. That’s amazing, man! I admire that. Mine lasted for less than 2 years because he decided he “wanted to be free” so he could pursue other women. That showed he wasn’t worth fighting for, so I just let him go there and then (There you go – one thing about me, I just owe you 6 more! hehe). It was the worst moment of my life but I came to feel grateful for it. Now as you know, I’m with the most wonderful man who’s smart, gorgeous, loving and simply perfect. It’s how I learned that most of the time the things we curse is actually our greatest blessings…
Anyway thanks again for sharing your 7 shocking trivia about yourself lol
